Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Dignity and Safeguarding in Adult Health and Social Care (RQF) develops learners’ knowledge and understanding of a range of issues around respecting and protecting the individual dignity of the individual in a care scenario. Learners will be given an understanding of safeguarding in adult health and social are, the principles of dignity as it relates to adult health and social care, duty of care and dilemmas and public concerns in adult health and social care. This qualification is primarily designed to prepare learners for further learning or training.
There are no specific entry requirements, however learners should have a minimum of level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent. The recommended minimum age for this qualification is 16 years.

The qualification is assessed by internally set and marked assessments subject to external quality assurance. All learning outcomes which assess knowledge and understanding (usually beginning with ‘understand’ or ‘know how to’) may be assessed through, for example, internally set and marked written assignments, tasks, records of oral or written questions, workbooks, or other portfolio evidence.
Upon successful completion, learners will receive an externally accredited PDF certificate from a nationally recognised and Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation.
