The purpose of the qualification is to develop learners’ knowledge of behaviour that challenges and its effects.
There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent. The qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and above.
Total Qualification Time for this qualification is 153 hours.

Guided Learning Hours:
These hours are made up of all real time contact time, guidance or supervision of a learner by a tutor or trainer. GLH for this qualification is 130 hours.

The qualification is assessed by internally set and marked assessments subject to external quality assurance. All learning outcomes which assess knowledge and understanding (usually beginning with ‘understand’ or ‘know how to’) may be assessed through, for example, internally set and marked written assignments, tasks, records of oral or written questions, workbooks, or other portfolio evidence.
Upon successful completion, learners will receive an externally accredited PDF certificate from a nationally recognised and Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation.
